My fiance and I have been in contact with a state park in Missouri and were told that we could rent the meeting room (inside the dining lodge area, but not in the dining room itself) if we were having outside caterers. It would be a 50 dollar charge with an outside caterer, or free if we used the restaurant. Then, here it is a month or so later, we talked the restaurant manager today and she said that we couldn’t have any outside caterers because they have concessions. So, we’ve already found a caterer and have our meal picked out and she throws this at us. Is there any way around this, or are we going to be stuck eating their crappy food? I mean, just because they are the only restaurant in the state park doesn’t give them the right to control what everyone eats, does it? It seems a shame someone would want to ruin a wedding for the sake a little cash. We’re only having about 35 people after all. Any help would be appreciated.
