Would It Be Illegal To Send Prank Wedding Invitations?

I was seeing a guy who I found out was two-timing with his girl-friend’s cousin, who only invites him over when he gets paid. He gives her half his check and who knows what else, and then she has nothing to do with him until his next payday.
My vindictive side would like to see him stuck with her for a long time, to see him marry her would be my idea of sweet justice.
I sat around one day and thought of sending fake wedding invitations for them to everyone they know. I wouldn’t really do it, but I did think about it. Would this be illegal?
